Saint Alexandru of Basarabia, a priest, refused to renounce his faith under Soviet rule. Arrested and tortured, he was forced to endure horrific conditions in a Moldovan prison. Despite the immense suffering, he continued to secretly minister to fellow prisoners, offering comfort and spiritual guidance. Ultimately, he was martyred for his unwavering devotion to Christ.
