During the reign of Emperor Maximian, Saint Isihie, a high-ranking soldier, openly confessed his faith when questioned about his absence from pagan sacrifices. Despite threats and tortures, Isihie remained steadfast, declaring his allegiance to Christ. He was stretched on a wheel, scourged, and ultimately beheaded for refusing to renounce his beliefs. His unwavering courage led many to convert to Christianity.
