Venerable #Theodora of Sihla, born in the 17th century to wealthy parents, embraced monastic life after a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Her husband joined a monastery as well, following her spiritual path. After a time of communal monastic living, Theodora sought deeper solitude, retreating to the remote Carpathian Mountains. Living in a cave near Sihla Monastery, she dedicated herself to ceaseless prayer and asceticism. Through divine providence, she received daily sustenance brought by a raven, and later, was guided by a monk to receive Holy Communion. Her life exemplified unwavering faith and commitment to God.
