Venerable Dometie, a humble monk, lived a life of profound compassion. He gave tirelessly to the poor, often depriving himself to feed the hungry. One harsh winter, seeing a peasant shivering in rags, Dometie gave him his own warm monastic cloak. Later, during prayer, he saw the Lord Himself wearing that very cloak, radiant and shining. This vision confirmed Dometie's path, proving that what is given to the poor is given to God.
