Venerable Dometie embraced a life of profound humility, choosing to live in obscurity near the Râmeț Monastery. Renowned for his boundless compassion, he gave generously to the poor and healed the sick, even though he possessed very little himself. One harsh winter, he surrendered his own coat to a shivering beggar, trusting that God would provide. Soon after, a wealthy traveler, guided by an unexplainable urge, gifted Dometie a warm, fur-lined cloak.
