A loyal servant of the great Martyr Demetrios, Lup witnessed his master's martyrdom with a brave heart. Taking Demetrios' ring and cloak, Lup began to perform miracles in his name, healing the sick and driving out demons. When news of these miracles reached the emperor Maximian, he ordered Lup's arrest. Unafraid, Lup confessed Christ openly and was tortured. Yet, even amidst suffering, Lup praised God. Angered, the emperor ordered his beheading, granting him eternal life in Christ's Kingdom.
