Saint Lup, once a devoted servant of Saint Demetrius of Thessaloniki, witnessed his master's martyrdom. Filled with divine zeal, Lup plunged into the arena, dipping his ring in the blood of Saint Demetrius. Empowered by this act, he began performing miracles, healing the sick and casting out demons in the name of Christ. His deeds attracted the attention of Emperor Maximian, who demanded Lup renounce his faith. Unwavering, Lup refused and was beheaded, earning his place among the holy martyrs.
