On August 15, 1714, Prince Constantin Brâncoveanu of Wallachia and his four sons—Constantin, Stephen, Radu, and Mathew—were martyred in Constantinople. Offered the chance to save their lives by converting to Islam, they refused. Constantin, the father, encouraged his sons to remain steadfast in their Christian faith, urging them to embrace death rather than deny Christ. First, his sons were beheaded before his eyes, then Constantin himself was slain. Their unwavering devotion to Christianity has made them saints in the Romanian Orthodox Church.

Let us pray to the #MartyrsBrâncoveni, that they may intercede for us, that we remain strong in our #faith and loyal to #JesusChrist, especially when facing difficult choices. May their sacrifice inspire us to live according to God's will. #OrthodoxSaints #ChristianCourage
