Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a prison guard, were martyred for their unwavering faith during the reign of Licinius. Ermil openly confessed his belief in Christ, refusing to deny Him despite torture. Stratonic, secretly a Christian, was moved by Ermil's steadfastness and openly declared his faith. Both were condemned; Stratonic was drowned, and Ermil was beheaded. Their courage in the face of death serves as an example of devotion.

Let us pray to these holy martyrs that they intercede for us, that we may have the strength to profess our faith without fear and live according to God's will.
