John the New, a merchant from Trebizond, was martyred in 14th-century Cetatea Albă for refusing to renounce Christ. Tortured and paraded through the city, he remained steadfast. His body was later recovered and brought to Suceava, where miracles began occurring at his tomb. His relics are still venerated, and he is remembered for his unwavering #Faith and courage.
