Venerable Dimitrie, a humble shepherd, lived a life of simple piety in the village of Basarabi. One day, feeling his earthly end near, he laid down between two stones by the riverbank, where he peacefully reposed. Years later, a flood revealed his relics, radiating a holy light. Many tried to move his body, but only a pious, paralyzed woman, through her faith, was able to approach the relics and was instantly healed, enabling the transfer to the village church.
