Confessor Sava Brancovici, Metropolitan of Ardeal, stood firm against Calvinist pressures in 17th-century Transylvania. When Prince Apafi I demanded he renounce Orthodox teachings, Sava refused, enduring imprisonment and hardship rather than compromise his faith. He was eventually deposed and held in harsh conditions, yet he continued to inspire the Orthodox faithful through his unwavering devotion.
