Venerable John, a hermit in the Prislop mountains, lived a life of extreme asceticism, dedicating himself to prayer and solitude. One day, while deep in contemplation, a shepherd stumbled upon his secluded dwelling. Mistaking John for a thief due to his humble appearance, the shepherd, driven by anger and misunderstanding, struck and killed him. Later realizing his grave error, the shepherd was overcome with remorse. John's relics are now a source of healing and pilgrimage, a testament to his unwavering faith and the transformative power of forgiveness.
Holy #Saint John, pray to God for us, that through your intercession, we may find the path to repentance and divine mercy.
