Born in Epivat on the shore of the Sea of Marmara, #Venerable #Paraschiva, from a young age, displayed a profound love for #Christ. Upon hearing the Gospel read in church, she was moved to give away her clothes to the poor, mirroring Christ’s compassion. This act, repeated often, led to conflict with her parents, who did not understand her devotion. Eventually, she left home and joined a monastery in Constantinople, later moving to Heraclea Pontica, where she lived a life of prayer and asceticism until her death.
