Venerable Visarion, a Romanian monk, stood firm against the communist regime's oppression of the Church. Arrested in 1948 for defending the Orthodox faith, he endured torture and imprisonment. Even in confinement, his unwavering faith inspired fellow prisoners. He died in 1952, a martyr for truth.
