A humble shepherd, Dimitrie lived a life of simplicity and prayer near the village of Basarabi. After his death, during a time of drought, his relics were discovered intact, emitting a sweet fragrance. Miracles began to occur, bringing rain and relief to the parched land. When war threatened, his relics were moved to Bucharest, where they remain a source of blessing and protection for the city.
