Saint Isihie, an Egyptian soldier, stood firm in his Christian faith when Emperor Maximian demanded worship of pagan gods. Refusing to renounce Christ, Isihie was subjected to brutal tortures. He endured whippings, scrapings with iron claws, and burning with torches, yet his spirit remained unbroken. Astonished by his resilience, 110 fellow soldiers converted to Christianity. They were all beheaded along with Isihie.
