In 1958, during the height of communist persecution in Romania, Father Constantin Sârbu was arrested for his unwavering faith. He was subjected to brutal interrogations and torture, pressured to renounce his priesthood and denounce his fellow Christians. Despite the immense suffering, he remained steadfast, declaring, "I cannot betray Christ, for He is my life." He was eventually sentenced to years of hard labor, where he continued to minister to other prisoners, offering them spiritual comfort and hope. He died in prison, a martyr for his faith, his final words a prayer for his persecutors.

Let us pray to #Saint Constantin to intercede for us, that we may have the strength to stand firm in our #faith, even in the face of adversity. May his example inspire us to live a life of unwavering devotion to #God. #OrthodoxChristian #Martyr #Prayer
