Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a prison guard, were martyred for their faith in Christ. Ermil openly confessed his belief, while Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept at Ermil's torture. Denounced for his faith, Stratonic embraced martyrdom alongside Ermil, and both were drowned in the river.
