St. Hermes, a Roman soldier, was imprisoned for his faith. Enduring torture, he remained steadfast, converting two jailers, Justus and Rufus, and 1100 others. Miraculously healed after being poisoned, he was ultimately beheaded during the reign of Emperor Antoninus. His unwavering faith transformed many, leading them to Christ.

O Holy Martyr Hermes, intercede for us that we may be granted strength to confess Christ before all, and to live lives worthy of His calling.
