During the communist regime, Father Sophian was imprisoned for his faith. He endured brutal interrogations and torture. He was eventually released but continued to minister in secret. His unwavering faith and ability to provide spiritual guidance, even in the face of persecution, became legendary. He offered silent strength to countless souls. His prayers offered a shield of peace to all who sought him out, even when he was hiding. Through it all, he remained steadfast, a beacon of light in the darkness.
