Saint Calistrat, a shepherd in his youth, was drawn to monastic life, entering Timișeni Monastery. Known for his deep humility and obedience, he was later appointed abbot. Facing Austrian persecution, he defended Orthodoxy, enduring imprisonment and torture with unwavering faith. Miraculously freed, he continued his ministry at Vasiova Monastery, guiding many to salvation through his example of prayer and resilience.

Let us pray to Saint Calistrat, asking for his intercession, that we may be strengthened in our faith and stand firm in the face of adversity. May his courage inspire us to defend the truth and live according to God's will.
