Venerable Dometie, in his boundless mercy, once encountered a poor man shivering in the cold, stripped of his garments by robbers. Without hesitation, Dometie removed his own cloak and gave it to the man, comforting him with kind words. Later, as he prayed, he saw angels surrounding him, holding the very cloak he had given away, now shimmering with divine light. The Lord revealed to him that acts of compassion are treasures stored in Heaven.
