St. Nicander and Marcian, Roman soldiers under Emperor Maximian, witnessed the miraculous endurance of St. Dasius, refusing to defile himself by idolatry, and were moved by the Holy Spirit. Abandoning their military posts, they sought baptism from the Bishop of Dorostolum. After, they openly confessed their faith, destroyed pagan idols, and were imprisoned. Enduring torture without wavering, they converted many others. Ultimately, they were beheaded for their unwavering devotion to Christ. O holy Martyrs, pray to God for us!
