Emilian, a young man in Durostorum, bravely shattered pagan idols during a local festival. Arrested and brought before the judge, he refused to renounce Christ. Despite threats, Emilian remained steadfast, declaring his faith openly. Enraged, the judge ordered him to be tortured and then burned alive. As the flames rose, Emilian, with a prayer on his lips, gave his soul to God, becoming a beacon of courage for all believers.
