Venerable Visarion, a humble monk from Lainici Monastery, stood firm in faith amidst persecution in 1948. Arrested and tortured by the communist regime for defending the Orthodox Church, he refused to renounce his vows or betray his brothers. His unwavering spirit inspired many to hold fast to their beliefs. He died a martyr, his sacrifice a testament to God’s enduring grace.
