Martyr #Sava, a Goth, stood firm in his #Christian #Faith when ordered to eat pagan sacrificial meat. Refusing to defile himself, he proclaimed Christ as the only true God. Despite threats, Sava remained steadfast. Angered, the pagan judge had him drowned in the river Mousaios. As he was submerged, Sava rejoiced, eager to be united with Christ. His martyrdom strengthened the resolve of other Christians in the region.

O Holy Sava, intercede with Christ our God that He may grant us strength to remain true to our faith in the face of adversity.
