Saints Epictetus and Astion, priests of Scythia, were arrested for spreading Christianity. Brought before the authorities, they refused to renounce their faith, even when tortured. Astion, elder and Epictetus, his disciple, remained steadfast, converting many by their example and miracles. They were ultimately beheaded for their unwavering devotion to Christ.
