Venerable Dometie, known for his boundless compassion, lived as a monk in the Romanian wilderness of Râmeț. He cared tirelessly for the sick and poor, building shelters and offering food. One harsh winter, with supplies dwindling, he prayed fervently. Miraculously, a hidden storehouse filled with grain was revealed near the monastery, enough to feed everyone until spring.

Let us pray to Dometie the Merciful, that he may intercede for us, guiding us to show true mercy and compassion to all those in need.
