Venerable Dometie dedicated his life to prayer and helping the needy around the Râmeț Monastery in Transylvania. Known for his extreme humility and love for the poor, Dometie would often deprive himself to feed the hungry, embodying Christ's compassion. Once, during a severe famine, the monastery's supplies dwindled, and the monks worried about their ability to continue feeding the poor. Dometie, filled with unwavering faith, prayed fervently. The next morning, miraculously, the granaries were overflowing.
