Niceta, Bishop of Remesiana, in the 4th-5th century, tirelessly preached the Gospel to the barbarian tribes along the Danube. He composed hymns and theological works, catechizing and baptizing many. His most enduring legacy is his missionary zeal, bringing countless souls to Christ in a time of great upheaval. It is believed that he may have authored the Te Deum hymn.

O Holy Niceta, pray to God for us, that we may be granted the same fervor to spread His Holy Word.
