The four Martyrs Claudiu, Castor, Sempronian, and Nicostrat were skilled sculptors in Rome during Emperor Diocletian's reign. Initially tasked with crafting a statue of Aesculapius, they had doubts about pagan idolatry. When they refused to complete the statue, Emperor Diocletian ordered their torture, including being scourged with leaden whips. Remaining steadfast in their faith, they were eventually drowned at the order of the Emperor.

Lord, grant us their steadfast faith, to stand firm in the face of adversity!
