Venerable #Iraclie of Basarabia, a beacon of monasticism, shone brightly in the 20th century. Born in Teleac, he embraced the ascetic life at Condrița Monastery, later guiding the Agapia Monastery as abbot. His wisdom and spiritual depth drew many seeking solace. When faced with the turmoil of war and displacement, he led his community with unwavering faith, establishing a new monastery in Roman. He reposed in 1949, leaving behind a legacy of piety and resilience.
