He was summoned repeatedly by the Securitate, who tried to coerce him into becoming an informant. Despite threats and intimidation, Fr. Sophian remained steadfast, refusing to compromise his conscience or the secrets of confession. He bore witness to Christ through his unyielding courage and unwavering loyalty to God.
