Born in Moldavia, he became a monk on Mount Athos. Frustrated by the worldliness around him, he sought deeper solitude but was obedient to his abbot, who directed him back into the world to serve others. He founded a Romanian monastery in Calapodești. Known for his gentleness and profound humility, he healed the sick and comforted the afflicted, becoming a beacon of light in a troubled world.
