In the city of Tomis, during the reign of Diocletian, lived #Evangelicus, a devout servant of #God. When commanded to sacrifice to idols, he refused steadfastly, confessing Christ as the true God. For this, he endured severe beatings and tortures, yet his faith remained unshaken. Finally, he was beheaded. His martyrdom strengthened the faithful and brought many to Christ.

O Holy #Hieromartyr Evangelicus, intercede for us that we may stand firm in our #faith and never deny Christ, even unto death. Amen.
