Epictet, a priest, and Astion, his disciple, fearlessly preached Christ in Scythia during Emperor Diocletian's reign. Arrested for converting many to Christianity and destroying idols, they refused to renounce their faith despite torture. Miracles occurred: an angel healed their wounds, and idols crumbled at their prayer. They were ultimately beheaded.
