Donat and Venust, two Roman officials, were martyred for their faith. During Emperor Julian the Apostate's persecution, they refused to renounce Christ. They were subjected to torture, including being scourged and having their sides burned with hot irons. Despite the excruciating pain, they remained steadfast, their faith unwavering. Eventually, they were beheaded for their unwavering devotion to God.

O Holy Martyrs Donat and Venust, pray to God for us, that we may be strengthened in faith and remain steadfast in the face of adversity, to the glory of God.
