In Moesia, during the reign of Emperor Diocletian, Saint Dassie, a Roman soldier, stood firm in his Christian faith. When chosen by lot to play a pagan role in the Saturnalia, Dassie refused, declaring he could not offer service and worship to idols. For his unwavering devotion to #JesusChrist, he was martyred.
