Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred for their faith. Ermil was tortured for confessing Christ, while Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly at Ermil's suffering. Denounced for his faith, Stratonic was tortured alongside Ermil. They were then bound and drowned in the Danube River.
