Around 1400, Leontie, Bishop of Rădăuţi, stood firm against Polish King Vladislav, who sought to impose Catholicism upon the Moldavian people and their prince. Leontie refused to yield, defending the Orthodox faith with unwavering resolve. For his steadfastness, he endured imprisonment, yet his spirit remained unbroken. Even in chains, Leontie continued to guide and strengthen his flock, embodying courage and devotion.
