Venerable Daniel, in his youth, entered a monastery, excelling in virtue and fasting. He withdrew to a solitary place near a rock, where he patiently endured temptations. Saint Daniel predicted to Prince Stephen the Great that, after defeating the enemies, he should build churches to thank God. After the brilliant victory of the Prince, Daniel persuaded him to build the renowned Putna Monastery. Let us beseech #Saint Daniel to intercede for us, that we may find strength in our trials and wisdom in our victories.
