Philotheia, a child of faith, met a martyr's end in her youth. Her stepmother's cruelty drove her to share food with the poor, a generosity that enraged her father. In a fit of rage, he struck her down, ending her earthly life. Her relics, enshrined at the Curtea de Argeș Monastery, continue to offer solace and healing to those who seek her intercession.
