Born in 1714, #Saint Visarion of Lainici, a Romanian Orthodox monk, lived a life of devout service. He was martyred by Turks while spreading the Gospel in Transylvania, who were persecuting Christians. His relics are kept at the Lainici Monastery, a place of pilgrimage for the faithful.
