In the Roman fortress of Durostorum, during Emperor Aurelian's reign, Lup, a devoted servant of Saint Demetrius, witnessed his master's martyrdom. Inspired by Demetrius's unwavering faith, Lup fearlessly shattered pagan idols, using Demetrius's blood-soaked ring. Miracles followed, healing the sick and converting many. Arrested and tortured, Lup remained steadfast, proclaiming Christ. Even thrown to wild beasts, they wouldn't attack him. Enraged, the emperor ordered his execution by sword.

O Holy Martyr Lup, intercede for us that we may be granted strength to follow Christ's path.
