Venerable John lived as a hermit in a cave near the Prislop Monastery in Romania during the 15th-16th centuries. Known for his deep faith and devotion, he spent his days in prayer and solitude. His ascetic life and spiritual wisdom attracted many seeking guidance. After his death, his relics were discovered and found to be incorrupt, a testament to his sanctity. Many miracles have been attributed to his intercession.
