Joseph, born in 1568 in Macedonia, dedicated his life to God from a young age. He joined Partoş Monastery, excelling in fasting, prayer, and humility. Later, as Metropolitan of Timişoara, he defended the #OrthodoxFaith against Calvinist influences, rebuilt churches, and cared for the poor. Known for his wisdom and compassion, he resigned his position to return to the quiet life of a monk, where he continued to serve God until his death in 1656.
