St. Visarion, a humble monk from Lainici Monastery, lived during times of great upheaval in 18th-century Romania. When the Orthodox faith was threatened, he left his quiet monastic life and traveled throughout the land, urging people to remain steadfast in their beliefs. He was eventually captured, tortured, and martyred for refusing to renounce his faith. His unwavering commitment inspired many to remain strong in their #OrthodoxChristian faith.
