Visarion, born in 1914, embraced monastic life at Lainici Monastery. During Romania’s communist regime, he refused to renounce his faith, enduring torture and imprisonment. Despite immense suffering, he remained steadfast, offering spiritual guidance to fellow prisoners. He died in 1950, a martyr for Christ.
