Saint Martyr Dassie, a Roman soldier, was imprisoned for his Christian faith. During his trial, he bravely confessed Christ, refusing to renounce his beliefs despite torture. Legend recounts that he remained steadfast even as his flesh was torn with iron hooks, and boiling pitch was poured upon him. He miraculously survived several attempts to kill him, always praying for strength. Finally, he was beheaded.
